What Startup Village Borneo is
Startup Village Borneo is Superteam Malaysia's week-long founder program, running September 6–9, 2026, in Kuching: an Amazing Race through the city to open the week, workshops through the middle days, and a public Demo Day to close it out. The organizers put up a $10,000 prize pool spread across the Demo Day pitch competition, the Amazing Race, a content track, and a sustainability track, with separate partner challenges from Meteora, RedotPay, and GetBlock. The judging panel for Demo Day was Sam (SOCOE), Chaerin (Solana Foundation), Jacob (Superscrypt), and Anatoly (No Limit Holdings).
The pitch
Konrad's pitch opened on a problem: ideas end up scattered across other people's databases, half-formed and easy to lose. Argo's answer, in his framing, is a private AI app built around daily journaling: writing, speaking, or recording a video entry, and using that as raw material for a pitch, a post, or a decision. “It's zero knowledge, open source,” he said. “We don't store any of your data on our servers.”
He described the mechanics: speak, write, or record a journal entry, and get back entry insights, a short summary, follow-up prompts, and related ideas pulled from past entries, plus a short social post drafted from the entry and a daily notification pulled from your own past writing. On traction, he said Argo has been live for two weeks with ten paying subscribers, alongside an existing audience built over more than 100 events and 517 hours watched on YouTube. He closed on where the product lives now, signed in with Solana, at myargoquest.com, and a flywheel he's building around it with AI agent classes. He's a sole founder.
A quick interview, and a hopeful sign-off
Right after the pitch, Konrad did a short interview in front of the event's step-and-repeat backdrop. Asked how it went, he said “I nailed it,” pointing to two specifics: not filling pauses with “ums” or “likes,” and having his ideas in a clear order. He was candid about what he'd add with more time: more on the competitive landscape and how the idea is validated. Asked whether he could read the judges' reaction, he said he couldn't: “I made eye contact with them a few times. I don't know what they're thinking.” He guessed the reaction was positive.
The interview closes on “First place, first place, let's go,” a hopeful line, not a result. Startup Village Borneo's own schedule places judging and the prize announcement after the pitch block this was filmed in, so no outcome had been decided yet at this point. The rest of the interview is logistics: the camera is a GoPro, bought rather than found; he's heading next to Singapore, then Token2049, then Devcon in Mumbai.
