Play together

Card games for people who would rather ask a real question.

A deck of prompts, a small table, and a record button. You turn over a card, answer it out loud, and the answer stays behind with your name on it. Every game is public, so a table that sits down next month can hear what your table said tonight.

How a table works

Step 1

Sit down, three to seven of you

One person creates a game and shares the code or the QR. Everyone else joins on their own phone. All the screens stay in sync, so the card that turns over turns over for everyone.

Step 2

Turn a card, answer out loud

The card says who is asking whom. Answer it properly, two or three minutes, the way you would tell it to a friend. Then everyone else gets one follow-up.

Step 3

Record it before you move on

Tap record and say it again for the archive. We transcribe it and attach it to your name. The next table to play this deck can hear what you said.

A note on privacy, because Argo is otherwise built the other way around. Your journal is encrypted and only you hold the key. The card games are the opposite on purpose: the games, the recordings, and the transcripts are public and carry your name. Say that out loud before the first card, and record only what you are happy for anyone to hear.
